Kelce brothers first to face-off in showpiece match, young superstars Hurts and Mahomes make history and record $7million for 30-second commercial – Super Bowl 57 is full of incredible facts

The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII this weekend and the showpiece match will feature plenty of incredible firsts.
The 57th edition of one sport’s greatest games at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona will be live on talkSPORT.
The Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes are playing in their third Super Bowl in four years and they will be out to replicate their title win in 2020.
The Eagles will be playing in NFL’s glittering game for the first time since lifting the Vince Lombardi trophy in 2018 with Jalen Hurts now making his maiden Super Bowl appearance.
Although Hurts’ debut is not the only first to be occurring at this year’s championship and marvelbet369.com takes a look at the history being made this weekend.
Young stars Hurts and Mahomes
Star men Hurts and Mahomes will be making history on Sunday.
At the ages of 24 and 27 respectively, they will become the quarterbacks with the youngest combined age in Super Bowl history.
Hurts and Mahomes will also become the first-ever black starting quarterbacks in Super Bowl history, with the Eagles star set to become the eighth different black quarterback to start a Super Bowl.
Speaking about the historical moment, Hurts said: “It lays the foundation for what’s to come.
“So many kids that have been told to change their position now know that it can be done.â€
Mahomes also commented: “It’s a historical moment and to be a part of it with two historical football teams?
“So many people have laid the foundation before. And to be playing with a guy like Jalen — who I know is doing it the right way? It’s going to be a special moment — that I hope lives on forever.â€

Kelce brothers face-off in Arizona
Travis and Jason Kelce will come up against each other in Super Bowl LVII, becoming the first-ever brothers to play on opposing teams in the showpiece match.
Both players have already lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy in the past but this one would mean more to the brother that comes out on top of the family affair.
Speaking after reaching the Super Bowl with the Chiefs, Travis said: “My mom can’t lose. I’ll just leave it at that.
“It’s going to be a fantastic feeling playing against him, and obviously, I respect everybody over there in that Eagles organisation.
“You won’t see me talking too much trash because of how much respect and how much I love my brother, but it’s going to be an emotional game.â€
And unsurprisingly, Travis and Jason's mother Donna is very excited.
“It’s going to be the best day ever."
Record commercial prices
Alongside the history being made on the pitch, there is also a first happening during the broadcast of the big game.
That's because 30-second spots for a commercial to be played during the broadcast of the game is now reported to cost companies a whopping $7million.
This is a new record high and proves how much of an impact having an advert played during the Super Bowl has on companies around the world.
The price beats last year’s record of $6.5million as the cost continues to increase year on year, with the number rising around $2million since 2018.
Potential Super Bowl firsts
There are not only plenty of firsts happening before the game but there is potential for a few more new achievements during it.
This millennium, a player who has won NFL MVP has never gone on to win the Super Bowl, with MVPs having a joint record of 0-9 since 2000.
Mahomes was awarded MVP this year and if he goes on to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy, he will be hoping to break this modern curse.
When it comes to stats, no quarterback has ever led the league in passing yards and won the Super Bowl in the same year and Mahomes will be out to try and achieve this.

The Chiefs could become the first team with the No. 1 scoring offence in the NFL to beat the team with the best passing defence in the Super Bowl.
And the Eagles can also achieve what no team has done before by becoming the first side to win the Super Bowl with an average of over 140 rushing yards per game since the Denver Broncos in 1998.
