Microphones caught Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s seemingly telepathic relationship that had Taylor Swift off her feet

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had a special connection during the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest win.
Video footage from a 41-10 beatdown of the Chicago Bears last Sunday shows that Kelce was supposed to run a different route during a play that ended up as another Chiefs touchdown.
“He just does what he wants,†an excited Mahomes told his team on the sideline after the play.
The Super Bowl-winning quarterback praised his teammate’s creativity.
It was also clear in the footage that Mahomes and Kelce have an almost telepathic connection that allows both to understand each other’s split-second decisions without having to communicate.
“The craziest part is I know he was going to do it,†Mahomes said. “I was like, ‘He ain’t running a corner.’"

With defenders rushing in and a previously called play quickly unfolding, two superstar Chiefs proved that they were on the same page – without having to signal a change.
The QB added to his tight end: “I’m glad you saw it. I didn’t know if you were going to do it.â€
It was a three-yard pass from Mahomes that gave Kansas City a 41-0 lead.
Kelce revealed that he played off Chicago’s safety in making his route alteration.

When the Bears defender broke toward the right side of the end zone, Kelce improvised a new path and sprinted toward the middle.
He found a comfortable space in the back of the end zone and his trusted QB drilled him for another easy TD.
“Kelce let out a big "Wooooo!" after the 71st TD of his career, while the world's biggest pop star, Taylor Swift, let out an expletive cheer in celebration alongside the player's mom.
Then he sounded like Mahomes, stating that he could have run the first called play and still scored.
"What's great is that I probably still could have run the corner," Kelce said. "I had him outflanked. I was just like, 'Nah. This is tempting.' â€
Asked about the presence of Swift and her legions of fans watching as a result, Mahomes joked afterwards: “I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to."
The Chiefs are 2-1 this season and face the struggling New York Jets on the road.
