Travis Kelce’s dad insists ‘very sweet’ Taylor Swift didn’t get ‘diva memo’ at Chiefs games

Travis Kelce's blossoming romance with Taylor Swift has been given the seal of approval from dad Ed.
The father of the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end described the 12-time Grammy award winner as 'a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman' in a recent interview with magazine, .
Ed and Taylor were both in attendance to watch the Chiefs host the Denver Broncos on October 12.
The pair were pictured celebrating together in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs ran out 19-8 winners, with Swift making a glowing first impression on her potential father-in-law, who was impressed by her down-to-earth approach.
"We’re sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around," said Kelce senior.
"Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can.
"And I’m just thinking, I don’t think she got the diva memo. She didn’t get the spoiled musician. She doesn’t know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot."
During a recent episode of their 'New Heights' podcast, Travis and brother Jason Kelce revealed their trepidation at the prospect of dad Ed meeting Swift.
“If you were watching the [Denver Broncos] game you saw something momentous happen, which was Taylor Swift talking to Ed Kelce,†Jason said of his younger brother’s new partner.
Travis replied: “It's a terrifying conversation and I felt terrible for Taylor for being in this.â€
"He shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift,†Jason joked before they both lauded their old man, labelling him the 'best f***ing dad in the world.'
On the pitch, the Kelce-Swift romance seems to be having a positive effect on the Chiefs star's output.
Without Swift in 2023, Kelce was averaging 46.5 yards per game compared to 100 yards per game since the Anti-Hero star's support.
Swift attended her fourth Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday evening as Kelce starred with 12 catches, 179 yards and a touchdown in a 31-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
