Zach Wilson gets weird comparison to Aaron Rodgers as gritty New York Jets keep winning games

Winners win and Zach Wilson won again on Sunday, drawing comparisons to Aaron Rodgers.
The replacement New York Jets quarterback struggled through four quarters against the in-state rival New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
But Wilson pulled out a sloppy 13-10 overtime victory, which pushed the Jets to a 4-3 record and kept the team in the playoff conversation.
Wilson's overall numbers were poor on Sunday.
The former No. 2 overall pick only completed 17-of-36 passes for a 78.5 rating.
Yet Wilson also threw for 240 yards and a touchdown.

“I played against Aaron Rodgers a lot, and when it comes to that kind of situation, he’s been pretty successful and has a good track record,†Jets guard Laken Tomlinson . “I saw Zach come out there with his positive attitude in the huddle and I just knew. Manifestation.â€
Linking Wilson with Rodgers appears foolish, especially considering that Wilson struggled for much of the game and had already lost his job to a veteran free agent just three seasons after being drafted.
But the Jets are now riding a three-game winning streak with Wilson at QB and that's hard to ignore.
Wilson's numbers in 2023 are forgettable.
He's completed 58.3 per cent of his passes for 1,337 yards, five TDs, five interceptions a 74.3 rating that ranks among the worst in the league.
Yet the Jets are tied with three other teams in the AFC and they could still make the postseason.
That's a credit to Wilson, who has some teammates thinking of Rodgers when they watch No. 2 QB the Jets.
