NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year 2023 odds: Ranking the top contenders as C.J. Stroud continues meteoric rise

Adrian Peterson. Randy Moss. Ben Roethlisberger. Just a few of the future Hall of Famers who have had the honour of being named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Since 1967, the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (OROY) winner has been decided by a vote involving a 50-person panel from the Associated Press.
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson was voted last year's winner, while fellow wideout Ja'Marr Chase scooped the award in his debut season for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Chase became the first wide receiver to win the OROY gong since Odell Beckham Jr back in 2014.
As usual, quarterbacks dominate the early betting for this year's award.
Here we outline the contenders to succeed Wilson going into Week 10 of the regular season, from outsiders to the current favourite in the betting markets.

10. Bryce Young - Carolina Panthers (1-7)
The 2023 No.1 pick in the NFL draft remains in the running for end of season honours despite a disappointing display against the Indianapolis Colts.
Young threw two pick-sixes - both to Colts cornerback Kenny Moore - as the Panthers slumped to a seventh defeat on the year that leaves them bottom of the NFC South.
With a Week 10 matchup against Chicago slated for Thursday night, Young says his focus is on bouncing back from the worst game game of his career so far.
He said: "I'm just trying to be my best every day. It's not something that I necessarily think about. It's just, you know, I have to be better. I have to be a lot better."

9. Rashee Rice - Kansas City Chiefs (7-2)
The Chiefs wide receiver found the endzone to take his touchdown tally to three for the year as Kansas improved to 7-2 with victory over Miami in Frankfurt.
Patrick Mahomes isn't blessed with attacking weapons but Rice has become one of his preferred targets alongside veteran tight end Travis Kelce.
Rice and the Chiefs are on a bye for Week 10, along with the Rams, Dolphins and Eagles.
Odds: +6000
8. Zay Flowers - Baltimore Ravens (7-2)
Another rookie wide receiver making waves in his debut season.
The No.23 pick out of Boston College has quickly forged a strong working relationship with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
The 23-year-old has only scored one touchdown to date but has racked up 50 receiving yards or more in six of his first nine starts.
Tight end Mark Andrews' return has eaten into Flowers' targets meaning his odds could drift even further as the season progresses.
A tough Week 10 showdown against AFC North rivals Cleveland will provide a clearer indication of Flowers' outlook for the rest of the season.
Odds: +6000
7. De'Von Achane - Miami Dolphins (6-3)
The third-round pick out of Texas A&M made a blistering start to life in Mike McDaniels' high-powered offense before injury put the brakes on his season.
In just four starts the 22-year-old running back racked up five touchdowns and 460 yards rushing.
Currently on IR, Achane hasn't been able to suit up since Miami's Week 5 win over the Giants, but expect him to play a key role for the Dolphins as they look to nail a playoff berth.
Odds: +4600
6. Will Levis - Tennessee Titans (3-5)
The fact Levis sits sixth after just two NFL starts is testament to his extraordinary debut.
Having endured the heartbreak of being overlooked in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft, the University of Kentucky product announced himself on the big stage with a historic performance on debut.
Levis completed 19 of 29 pass attempts for 238 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Titans to a 28-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
He became only the third player in NFL history to throw four touchdowns or more on their NFL debut, catapulting him into the OROY conversation.
Odds: +4600
5. Jordan Addison - Minnesota Vikings (5-4)
The third of four wide receivers on our mid-season shortlist.
It remains to be seen what impact the season-ending injury to Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will have on Addison's output but the 21-year-old has stepped up in the absence of star wideout Justin Jefferson.
So far Addison has racked up 534 receiving yards for seven touchdowns, including a breakout game against San Francisco in Week 9, finding the end zone twice, finishing for 123 yards.
The rookie made a highlight-reel catch as Josh Dobbs led the Vikings to an unlikely victory over the Falcons last weekend.
Odds: +3500
4. Bijan Robinson - Atlanta Falcons (4-5)
Many people's favourite to clean up in award season, Robinson's Rookie of the Year stock has crashed in recent weeks.
A top-10 pick in the 2023 draft, Robinson has run for 517 yards and two touchdowns so far, but his touches have dwindled of late.
The Texas Longhorn product ended up with fewer carries than Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier in Atlanta's most recent defeat to Minnesota.
Falcons fans and Robinson OROY backers will be keen to see whether the trend continues.
Odds: +2400
3. Jahmyr Gibbs - Detroit Lions (6-2)
Gibbs would become the first running back to scoop the award since Saquon Barkley's debut season with Giants five years ago.
It's been a frustrating start to life in the NFL for Gibbs, with veteran running back David Montgomery taking the majority of the early-season work.
Having been forced to wait for his chance to shine, the first-round pick got his opportunity in with an injury to Montgomery.
In a breakout performance in Detroit's Week 8 over the Raiders, the No.12 overall pick took his chance with both hands, amassing 189 yards and a touchdown.
However Montgomery's imminent return from a rib injury could have an impact on Gibbs' workload. Watch this space.
Odds: +1500
2. Puka Nacua - Los Angeles Rams (3-6)
The runaway favourite until Week 9 and C.J Stroud's record-breaking heroics for the Houston Texans.
Nacua has been one of the biggest surprises of the NFL season so far.
The BYU product broke the record for the most receptions through his first eight NFL starts with 59.
The fifth-rounder has been a revelation for the Rams, leading the team in receiving yards and receptions in the absence of 2022 Super Bowl MVP, Cooper Kupp.
Odds: +750
1. C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans (4-4)
The new bookmakers' favourite after a record-breaking performance in Houston's Week 9 epic with Tampa Bay.
The No.2 overall pick tore the Bucs' defence apart in his eighth career start, setting a new NFL record for passing yards by a rookie.
Stroud threw for five touchdowns and 470 yards as the Texans came from behind to down Baker Mayfield's Bucs.
