Fans say NFL’s most violent tackler Kareem Jackson should be banned for ‘dangerous’ hit on Josh Dobbs

Kareem Jackson unleashed another violent hit on the field and the Minnesota Vikings are not happy about it.

Jackson, who recently returned from a two-game suspension stemming from previous illegal tackles, unloaded on Minnesota quarterback Josh Dobbs during the Denver Broncos' 21-20 home win on Sunday night.

With Dobbs attempting a run, Jackson sprinted toward the Viking fan favourite, lowered his head and delivered a powerful helmet-to-helmet hit.

The QB's helmet was almost jarred off and the ball was fumbled upon contact.

Minnesota head coach Kevin O'Connell questioned why a penalty flag wasn't thrown against Jackson for the violent collision initiated by the defensive back.

"On the field, it felt like that. I'll have to go back and look at it," O'Connell . "It tends to happen pretty fast out there, but in the moment, coming from the second level the way he did, it seemed like a pretty direct helmet-to-helmet type hit."

Fans were far less diplomatic, saying that Jackson should have been ejected from the game.

Some went so far as to insist that the veteran defender should be banned from the NFL.

Jackson was suspended three games -- reduced to two on appeal -- for a hit against a defense-less Luke Musgrave in Week 7 against Green Bay.

Jackson has been fined four times in 2023 and ejected from two games.

"Should be ejected from the game and banned from the NFL," one fan posted to social media.

"That’s helmet to helmet, dude should be kicked out of the game!" another fan wrote.

"Bro is elite at being a dirty player. Classic Sean Payton led team," a third fan said.

"He's already been suspended for dirty hits!" a fourth fan posted.

Another fan saw it a different way, claiming: "That's football!"

Dobbs was forced to take a concussion test after Jackson's hit.

He remained in the game and finished 20-of-32 passing for 221 yards, one touchdown, one interception and an 80.3 rating.

"I haven't had a chance to watch it," Dobbs said when asked for his take on the incident.

"That's something I'll check out. I've got to take care of the football. Third-and-1, I'm trying to make a play, get the first down, keep us on the field, move the sticks.

"I'll let the coaches and everyone else figure that stuff out with officiating. But at the end of the day, I've got to take care of the football in that situation, especially to start the game."
