Chiefs receiver visibly angry as he slams helmet at wall for TD drop but Patrick Mahomes shows class

Marquez Valdes-Scantling slammed his Kansas City Chiefs helmet against a wall in fiery frustration.
And that was just the start of the worldwide reaction to a dropped touchdown that could have turned Patrick Mahomes' team into winners during a much-hyped Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.
With 1 minute and 44 seconds left in the fourth quarter on Monday night, Mahomes reared back to unleash a huge downfield pass as Kansas City trailed 21-17.
Valdes-Scantling, a sixth-year wide receiver, had several steps on the closest Eagles defender and was one catch away from giving the Chiefs a sudden lead that would have left Arrowhead Stadium buzzing with less than two minutes to go under the primetime lights.
Mahomes' throw was perfect.
Valdes-Scantling's catch was not.

The ball hit his hands, bounced off his chest, then bounced away in the end zone.
The Eagles' 21-17 lead remained untouched.
After the victory, brothers Travis and Jason Kelce embraced at midfield, and Travis joked that he gave Jason a 'late birthday present.'
Philly eventually improved to an NFL-best 9-1 while the Chiefs fell to 7-3 and now trail Baltimore for the top record in the AFC.

Valdes-Scantling was clearly frustrated after the drop.
As the receiver made his way toward the Chiefs' locker room he slammed his helmet against a logo on the wall.
Crowd reactions showed stunned faces filled with total disbelief.
Mahomes took the high road in the aftermath, insisting that a perfect pass that should have been a brilliant touchdown could have been even more perfect.
"We just didn't come away with the ball," Mahomes said. "I could have probably thrown it a little bit shorter, he was that open."
Then the two-time Super Bowl winner acknowledged the road ahead that the uneven Chiefs face.
"You've just got to continue to try to get better and better," Mahomes said.
Kansas City has lost two of its last three games.
The Chiefs haven't scored more than 21 points in a contest in a month.
Valdes-Scantling's dropped TB dominated social media in the hours after the Eagles' win.
But Kansas City has bigger problems to deal with and Mahomes knows it.
