The Pittsburgh Steelers have landed themselves a big time new receiver.

On Sunday, it was announced the Steelers were signing Seattle Seahawks wideout DK Metcalf on a five-year, $150 million contract in exchange for a second round draft pick.

Metcalf requested a trade last week and the Seahawks obliged, having already sent quarterback Geno Smith to the Tom Brady minority owned Las Vegas Raiders.

The 27-year-old was selected by Seattle in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The two-time Pro Bowler has 438 receptions for 6,324 yards and 48 touchdowns in 97 career games (93 starts) in six seasons.

He has three seasons topping 1000+ receiving yards.

Metcalf is one of the most extraordinary freak athletes in the NFL today.

He is also a TV favorite, having appeared in commercials for brands like the NFL, Hulu, lululemon and Gatorade, as well as the latest season of The Great American Baking Show in the "Celebrity Big Game" edition.

The Ole Miss product gained national attention with his historic combine performance becoming the stuff of NFL legend.

The highlight was a 4.33 second 40-yard dash, still the fastest of all time for a player weighing 225 pounds or more.

His sensational stat line also included a 40.5 inch vertical jump and a body fat reading of 1.6 percent.

In 2023, a video showing the Seahawks wideout defying gravity with a remarkable one-handed catch in practice went viral.

Metcalf's hang time was so incredible many NFL fans questioned the video's authenticity, claiming the clip had been doctored as part of a marketing stunt.

During an appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show," the 27-year-old confirmed the catch was real.

"That was actually me jumping up," Metcalf said. "I jumped up 6 feet."

It stands to reason that such superhuman feats require an extraordinary diet, right?

Wrong.

During a 2022 appearance on former NBA star Kevin Garnett's podcast, "KG Certified", Metcalf was asked to talk about how important nutrition was to maintaining his athletic physique.

"I'm probably the worst person to ask that," he smiled. "I'm a candy type person."

He continued: "I eat one meal a day, drink one coffee and eat like three, four bags of candy.

"I'm a big Gummy type of guy.

"I'll take you through yesterday. I woke up, worked out, worked out again, came home and showered. I'm hungry, so I run to Starbucks and get a quick coffee.

"That's gonna hold me until like five o'clock, this is at midday.

"Around 4.30pm I order some candy and a water.

"Yesterday I got the Skittles Gummies, then I got the Lifesaver Creations. They're the same size bag[s], so I just mix them.

"Get the candy, get the water, eat that, that's gonna hold me to 8 o'clock when I'm having dinner.

"And then I eat dinner and go to sleep."
