Carolina Panthers fire head coach Frank Reich hours after owner’s X-rated locker-room outburst

Carolina Panthers have fired head coach Frank Reich in the wake of Sunday night's defeat to the Tennessee Titans.
Reich, who was named head coach in January this year, leaves his post after just 10 months in charge.
A statement from Panthers owner David Tepper said: "I met with Coach Reich this morning and informed him that he will not continue as head coach of the Carolina Panther."
He added: "I want to thank Frank for his dedication and service, and we wish him well."
Reich becomes the second NFL head coach to lose his job after Josh McDaniels, who was sacked by the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this month.
The news comes less 24 hours after the Panthers slumped to a 17-10 road defeat to the Titans.
The loss means Carolina now has the worst record in the NFL (1-10).
Reich's departure comes amid reports that Tepper left the Carolina locker room in a rage on Sunday evening.
Multiples journalists reported that an irate Tepper left the team's locker room and screamed "F***!".
Carolina became the first team to reach 10 losses this season and clinched a fifth consecutive season of 10 or more defeats.Â
Since their bye week, the Panthers have scored 13 or fewer points in their past five games.
The defeat also dropped the team’s road record this season to 0–6.
Reich addressed the media on Tuesday less than 24 hours after the decision.
Asked whether he needed to re-evaluate his management style as an owner he said: "Things are always evolving. You're always trying to get better."
He added: "We're going to self-reflect and get better. My reputation away from this game is one for extreme patience.
"The product on the field isn't good enough right now."
