Jalen Hurts stuns reporters with brutal assessment of his own teammates as Eagles lose third straight game

Can we say the Philadelphia Eagles are in crisis?
We might not be quite there yet, but Philly has big problems on their hands after dropping their third straight game in a 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Nick Sirianni's team have not won a game in December following blowout losses to the 49ers and Cowboys. The reigning NFC champions were looking like Super Bowl certs a few weeks ago and now they're trailing Dallas in the NFC East at 10-4 for the season.
The Eagles have their critics and rightly so after blowing a fourth-quarter lead against the Seahawks.
However, rather surprisingly, quarterback Jalen Hurts appears to be one of the harshest fault-finders after he admitted the team lacks "commitment".
“I’ve been talking about execution all year," Hurts said to reporters after the Seattle loss. "Being on the same page, everyone being on the same page. We didn’t execute. I don’t think we’re, we’re all, we’re committed enough. Just got to turn it around. You know, it’s a challenge that we have to embrace. Just continue to see it through."
Hurts was then asked what he means by that and he replied, "Commitment. I don’t have a dictionary on me now. . . . I don’t know how else to say that.”
The Eagles signal caller did take some responsibility admitting that he's part of the issue.
“It’s a matter of being on the same page,” Hurts said. “It takes everyone being all in, in all aspects. And it starts with me.”
To be fair to Hurts, his preparation for the game was less than ideal.
He has been hampered by illness this week which led to him travelling to Seattle separately from the rest of the team so as not to get any of his teammates sick.
That perhaps goes some way to explaining his subpar performance against the Seahawks. Hurts went 17 of 31 passing for 143 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions, both of which went to Julian Love.
The most costly of those interceptions came during the final possession when Love picked off Hurts' deep pass meant for A.J. Brown which all but ended the game.
Hurts did run for 82 yards and 2 TDs but on the whole he looked far from the MVP calibre player most people have come to expect.
The Seahawks improved to 7-7 with the win, ending a four-game skid to get back into NFC play-off contention.
The Eagles slipped to 10-4 after an 11-1 start to the season.
They have a chance to get things back on track on Christmas Day when they face the 5-9 New York Giants.
Luckily they have already secured a play-off berth but they can't afford any more slip ups if they're to beat the Cowboys to the No.1 seed in the NFC East.
