Dolphins star Tyreek Hill makes his eagerly-awaited return to Arrowhead Stadium this weekend.

Miami take on defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday with Hill facing his former team in their own back yard for the first time.

'Cheetah' won his only Super Bowl ring in 2019 with the Chiefs before being traded to the Dolphins two years later.

Chiefs players and fans are generally still on good terms with the eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver following the parting of ways.

However, KC tight end Travis Kelce has given Chiefs Kingdom permission to boo Hill this weekend if he does one thing.

“I expect K.C. to give him [Hill] nothing but love, until he’s putting up a peace sign or something like that. Then he might hear a few boos,” Kelce said.

The 'peace sign' is Hill's trademark celebration for whenever he gets in the end zone - which is usually pretty often.

However, the league in general isn't a big fan of the celebration, deeming it taunting and even fining Hill $10k earlier this season for flashing it against the Giants.

Hill and Kelce had six incredibly successful years together in Kansas City between 2016-21, and despite Kelce's joke there's clearly a mutual respect.

Speaking about Hill’s work with the Tyreek Hill Family Foundation, the future Hall of Fame TE said, "Every single kids camp he had, he made it his his effort to go out and shake those hands and give those kids an experience they’ll never have again.

"And that’s why Tyreek is loved in the city, and he’ll forever be loved in this city, because of who he was off the field in this community as well."

Hill also spoke to reporters about his former teammate ahead of the wild-card clash, saying he'd texted Kelce but hadn't heard back.

"I haven't texted Mahomes since they beat our a**," Hill said, referencing the Week 9 loss to the Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany.

"I texted Kelce, but he still hasn't texted back. He's probably still on his Taylor Swift thing.

"But yeah, man. Those guys are too famous for me now, I guess."

Speaking to reporters, Kelce also shutdown any speculation that this would be his final year in pro football.

"Do you guys think about retirement?" the 34-year-old asked.

"Am I the only one in this boat, or is anybody else in this thing? Whoever's not thinking about stuff down the road, I blame you.

"I have no reason to stop playing football, man. I love it. We still have success. Come in with the right mindset, and I just love the challenge it gives me every single day to try and be at my best. Like I said, I have no desire to stop anytime soon."

Kelce's stance will no doubt be music to Chiefs fans' ears.

He is under contract for the 2024 and 2025 campaigns, and while his season so far has been up and down with various niggling injuries, he remains a major factor in Andy Reid's offence.

Kelce finished with 984 receiving yards in 15 games but chose to sit out the regular season finale vs the Chargers.

In doing so he failed to extend his record of seven consecutive years of 1,000 yard seasons to eight.

Chiefs fans will be hoping he's well rested and firing on all cylinders come kick-off on Saturday.
