ESPN analyst Shannon Sharpe tears into ’embarrassing’ Cowboys and Dak Prescott following humiliating Packers defeat

The Dallas Cowboys have crashed out of the playoffs after suffering a humiliating 48-32 defeat to the Green Bay Packers.
The NFC's No. 2-seeded Cowboys were heavy favourites against the No. 7-seeded Packers but put in an all-time abject performance as their 28-year Super Bowl draught continues.
The Packers jumped all over a shell-shocked Cowboys, taking a 27-0 lead in the second quarter.
Dallas QB Dak Prescott threw two interceptions, including a pick-six, in the first half as the Packers led 27-7 at halftime.
Things mildly improved in the second half to make the scoreline somewhat respectable, but by then it was little more than stat-padding in a game that was well and truly over.
Countless people ripped Mike McCarthy's team for choking once again on the biggest stage, including ESPN analyst Shannon Sharpe.
The former Broncos tight end went off on the 'embarrassing' Cowboys and, in particular, Prescott.
"Empty calorie Dak," Sharpe said.
"Every1 saw when the gm matter. He pulled a Cooperfield and DISAPPEARED. The defense didn’t disappear. They never showed up 2 start with. This is the most pathetic, disappointing, humiliating loss in Cowboys history. EMBARRASSING."
"Don’t be in awe of the Cowboys final stats. Y’all saw what happened when the gm mattered."
"The Cowboys are like Duke freshman hoopers, 1 and done. I’m going 2 be on 1 2nite on @NightcapShow_ and 2morrow on @FirstTake," he added.
Sharpe wasn't the only TV personality who went in on Jerry Jones' pretenders.
Cowboys super-fan Skip Bayless was sick to his stomach at the performance and called for Dallas to get rid of Prescott this offseason.
"GET RID OF DAK PRESCOTT. ENOUGH OF THE SUFFERING. HE WAS A 4TH-ROUNDER FOR A REASON," Skip Bayless posted on X.
"I THREW HIS JERSEY AWAY FOR A REASON. HE'S NOW 2-5 IN THE PLAYOFFS. BIG-MOMENT LOSER. NOT A DALLAS COWBOY QUARTERBACK."
"Please don't let any of this late empty-calorie, garbage-time passing success fool you. Dak is not THAT GUY. All that mattered was what happened on the way to 27-0, Green Bay," he said at the end of the game.
Dak's dismal performance compared unfavourably with Green Bay signal caller Jordan Love who had a game for the ages.
Love fashioned with a near-maximum 158.3 passer rating, completing 16-of-21 for 272 yards with three TDs - and was actually on for a maximum 158.3 rating until throwing an incomplete pass with just over two minutes left.
Prescott, meanwhile finished with 403 yards, three TDs, two interceptions and a passer rating of 89.8, but his yardage came at the end when it mattered little.
The Cowboys have now failed to reach the NFC Championship Game for 28 consecutive seasons (since they last won the Super Bowl in 1995) - an NFL record.
48 points was also the most points they have allowed in a game in postseason history.
Dallas crash out of the playoffs while Green Bay march onto next weekend's divisional round where they face the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers.
