The biggest sporting event on the calendar is in Las Vegas, Nevada in a stadium that cost $2billion to build and where seats were selling for crazy money.

A Super Bowl ring, the Vince Lombardi Trophy and a place in NFL history are up for grabs for the winner, as well as a big bonus paycheck.
This year's showpiece sees defending champions Kansas City take on San Francisco in a repeat of the 2020 Big Game.

How much do Super Bowl LVIII winners get paid?
Thanks to a provision in the NFL’s bargaining agreement with the Players Association, winning players in Super Bowl LVIII will each receive a bonus of $164,000.
That's up $6,000 from last year when players on the Kansas City Chiefs received a $157,000 payday after they triumphed over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
The sum has steadily risen over recent years with the Super Bowl winners in 2020 each receiving $130,000.
That trend won't slow down in the years to come either.
By the 2030-31 season, the Super Bowl winners are set to pocket an extra $228,000 each.

However, there are certain criteria winning players have to hit in order to qualify for the full bonus.
For instance, players on the team's active or inactive list when the Super Bowl is played that have been on the roster for less than three previous games (regular season or playoffs) are only entitled to half of the paycheck.
Players will also only get 50% of the bonus if they're not on the active/inactive list but played between three and seven games during the regular season or playoffs.
Furthermore, first-year players who were injured during the regular season, but are still under contract, will also only get half of the money.
According to the agreement, those that qualify for the bonus receive the bonus check within 15 days of the big game.
The 2024 event is the first Super Bowl that will be held in Nevada.
Kick off kick is set for 6:45 p.m. ET (local time 3:45 p.m. PT) - around 11:45 p.m. for fans in the UK.
