Paramount Plus has seemingly got off to the worst possible start to Super Bowl LVIII.

Fans hoping to tune into the 'Big Game' between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers were left frustrated after the streaming service appeared to go down prior to kick off.

Countless fans took to social media to see if anyone else was experiencing the same issues.

"Paramount Plus down for me. Searched to see if it was just me. It is not just me. CBS has an all time disaster brewing," said NFL journalist at The Ringer website, Danny Heifetz..

"Uh, yeah, fix your s*** #ParamountPlus," said another fan.

Others were directly tweeting at the streamer asking what was going on.

"You have one hour to make it right everytime I watch football on your app it kicks me out and freezes your the worst platform for NFL streaming! It's already doing it and it's not even kickoff #NFL #SuperBowl #ParamountPlus".

It's unclear what caused the service to go down, which isn't much consolation to fans hoping to watch the huge game.

Another fan said: "Paramount Plus is down and the game hasn't even started!"

Fans suffering problems streaming CBS Sports' coverage on Paramount Plus were served an on-screen message that read: "We're having some trouble playing this video. Please try again."

The info-graphic continued: ";If you continue to experience issues, checking your internet connection or restart your router."

Others complained of having an "error code 3002" as they attempted to access CBS pregame coverage.

Super Bowl LVIII airs on CBS this year in the US and is therefore available to stream live on Paramount Plus.

The 2024 Super Bowl can be streamed on any device that’s signed up for the Paramount Plus subscription.

Both Essential and Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan subscribers can stream the Super Bowl live on  or the Paramount+ app.
