Fox Sports’ Terry Bradshaw names quarterback he ‘loves’ for the Steelers but rules out Justin Fields move

Terry Bradshaw has already made his pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers' next quarterback.

Bradshaw, one of the most famous Steelers in history, strongly believes in a QB already on the team's roster.

The Fox Sports TV analyst also isn't a fan of Pittsburgh making a big trade for another QB.

"(Kenny) Pickett. I love Pickett," said Bradshaw, while appearing on the .

With the Steelers legend backing a QB who was drafted No. 20 overall by the Steelers in the first round in 2022, that news will surely make an impact in Pittsburgh.

Pickett is 14-10 as a starter, completing 62.6 percent of his passes for 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

The promise he showed in his rookie year was clouded by an up-and-down second season.

But Bradshaw only sees upside for a young QB who went to college at Pittsburgh and has a gritty personality on the field.

"I know him well. He's fiercely competitive," Bradshaw said. "He's a tough-minded kind. Things don't bother him. I really like him a lot."

While Bradshaw is big on Pickett, he has no interest in his old team pursuing a much-discussed QB who's still a member of the Chicago Bears.

Justin Fields recently stopped following the Bears on Instagram, increasing speculation that he will move on from the team that drafted him.

If Fields becomes available via trade, Bradshaw believes the Steelers should pass on the dual threat and zero in on the "tough-minded" Pickett.

"That's a huge mistake. You don't need Fields," Bradshaw said. "Stay with what you got. Just build (Pickett) up. Get him another receiver. Give him an explosive tight end. Give him another tackle, give him a guard.

"Have the ability to protect him. And give him guys on the outside. This is a passing league, now. Get him people out there that can run and catch the football that are smart."
