Andy Reid and Chiefs lose TWO Super Bowl winners who played in Las Vegas showpiece

The Kansas City Chiefs are making moves ahead of the new season.
Andy Reid's team clinched back-to-back Super Bowl titles in the 2024 edition of the Big Game at Allegiant Stadium last month.
Kansas City are gunning for an unprecedented three-peat in 2024/25 but will do so without two players who starred in Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers.
According to reports, 'Big Red's' coaching staff have lost offensive lineman Nick Allegretti - who started at left tackle in the Super Bowl - as well as punter Tommy Townsend in free agency.
Allegretti has reportedly agreed to terms with the Washington Commanders on a three-year, $16 million deal, with $9 million guaranteed.
The 27-year-old played a pivotal role in the Chiefs' Super Bowl run, filling in for the injured Joe Thuney in the AFC Championship game and Super Bowl.
During the second quarter of the 25-22 win over the 49ers, Allegretti suffered a torn UCL in his elbow but continued to play through the pain, including overtime.
After the game, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes praised the offensive lineman as the unsung hero of the contest.
All in all, Allegretti has 74 appearances and 13 starts during five seasons with the Chiefs.
Punter Townsend, meanwhile, has reportedly agreed on a two-year, $6 million deal, with the Houston Texans.
He joined the Chiefs in 2020 and won two Lombardi Trophys with the franchise while becoming an All-Pro and a Pro Bowler in 2022.
The 27-year-old came up big when the Chiefs needed him last season, punting five times for 254 yards in Super Bowl LVIII.
He finished last season with 59 punts for 2,776 net yards for a 47.05 average.
The news of Townsend's departure follows the signing of punter Matt Araiza last month.
Araiza, known as the 'Punt God' for his exceptionally powerful leg, was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills but was released that summer after he was named in a rape lawsuit.
No criminal charges were filed against Araiza and prosecutors said he was not present at the time of the alleged incident.
Now, he's back in the NFL with the Chiefs.
"I am proud and honored to sign a contract with the Chiefs,†Araiza said in a statement.
"I am thrilled to be able to continue my NFL career. I want to thank my family, who have been my rock and my many friends who have been unwavering in their support.
"I am excited to begin the next phase of my career with the Super Bowl Champs!"
