The Super Bowl champions are going all in on a three-peat.

On Thursday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown is joining the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year deal worth up to $11 million.

The Super Bowl LVIII winners needed an upgrade to their wideout room after underwhelming seasons from Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney and releasing Marquez Valdes-Scantling - and now they've got their man.

It's a move that makes a ton of sense which is precisely why Chiefs head coach Andy Reid made a savvy recruitment pitch to Brown which has only just now been revealed.

When news of the deal broke, 'Hollywood' shared a screenshot of a text exchange he had with 'Big Red' on Thursday afternoon.

"Hollywood, think Red today, KC Red with diamonds!!!," Reid wrote in the message, which also included a winking face emoji with a signature.

In response, Brown wrote, "Yes sir. Love the sound of that" and included a heart and ring emoji - in reference to the Chiefs chasing a third straight Super Bowl ring.

On the line below, the WR mirrored Reid's message, writing: "Think Hollywood Brown Lights, Camera, Action," with two rocket ship emojis.

One of the first people to react to the news was KC quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who recently made a big decision on his future.

After seeing that the deal had been finalised, the reigning Super Bowl MVP reacted by posting a smiling face emoji on X.

Brown also posted a picture of himself in a Chiefs uniform with the caption: "Blessed Beyond Measures… ChiefsKingdom Let’s Rock."

Mahomes retweeted the photo with three flexed bicep emojis.

Despite winning back-to-back Super Bowl titles, Brown is precisely the type of offensive weapon Kansas City have missed in recent years.

The Chiefs' defense carried them through games last season as the inconsistent offense, particularly at WR, dropped passes and made costly blunders.

'Hollywood' represents the kind of speedy playmaker the Chiefs have been crying out for of late, particularly after trading Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins two offseasons ago.

Fans think Brown can be the next Hill for the Chiefs as they look to win an unprecedented three-peat in 2024/25.

"Did KC finally find their replacement for Tyreek Hill?" one fan asked.

One jealous rival fan wrote: [They got] solid WR that can catch and got Tyreek Hill like speed…..I. HATE. FOOTBALL."

"Chiefs saw they missed Tyreek Hill skillset so they found something similar," added a third.

"Hollywood Brown is about to turn into Tyreek Hill 2.0 in KC," a fourth posted.

26-year-old Brown was a first-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2019 NFL Draft and spent the first three seasons of his career with the team.

The pacy wideout had 584 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in his rookie campaign followed by 769 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in his second season.

During his final season in Baltimore in 2021, Brown had 91 catches for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns.

However, instead of committing to him long term, the Ravens decided to send him to the Cardinals in 2022.
