Shannon Sharpe has sarcastic response to Stephen A. Smith’s extremely bold New York Jets prediction

Shannon Sharpe isn't feeling the New York Jets' chances next season.
The Hall of Fame NFL tight end was on First Take this week alongside the ineffable Stephen A. Smith to discuss the likelihood of the Jets winning the AFC East next season.
The important caveat to the segment was that the Jets remain healthy - and Smith thinks they have a shot if they do.
"The Jets got a chance, bro," Stephen A. confidently said.
"If you're telling me that everybody's going to be healthy, I would pick the Jets to win the AFC East this year.
"I really would."
Sharpe wasn't having it though, and clapped back with a perfectly sarcastic response insinuating the Jets have as much chance of winning the AFC East as he does of winning the lottery.
"You see what you did, Stephen A.? 'Oh they got a chance.'
"You know they have the lottery draw three times a week? I got a chance!
"I ain't won it yet!"
"Did you play?!" Stephen A joked back.
"I did, I did!" Sharpe replied.
The Jets came into last season with Super Bowl aspirations having landed four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the 2023 offseason.
However, the green and white's hopes went up in flames on the fourth play of Rodgers' Jets career when he tore his Achilles in Week 1 against the Bills.
The 40-year-old did not play for the rest of the season and reportedly earned an NFL-low $81.14 through the league's performance-based system.
Backup QBs Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle failed to fill the Rodgers-sized hole in the Jets offense and they finished with a 7–10 record for the second consecutive season.
Robert Saleh's team also missed the playoffs for the thirteenth consecutive season, which continues to be the longest active postseason drought in the league.
However, they have made steps to end that streak this offseason, adding Tyron Smith and Mike Williams to their offensive line.
Meanwhile, the Jets' 'D' landed a big name linebacker after losing Bryce Huff to the Philadelphia Eagles.
They landed star pass rusher Haason Reddick from Philly.
The 29-year-old had 11 sacks last season, 2.5 of which came against the Jets, and 16 the season prior.
Reddick is a two-time Pro Bowler and will provide veteran expertise to a defense that's already loaded with the likes of Sauce Gardner, Quincy Williams and Quinnen Williams.
How the Jets fare next season ultimately rests on Rodgers and whether he can replicate his performances in a Packers uniform.
They also happen to be in a division with Super Bowl contenders Buffalo and Miami, so clinching the AFC East crown won't be easy.
