Tyreek Hill was humiliated by his head coach during an NFL playoff game.

And Hill loved it.

The super-speedy veteran is one of the best wide receivers in the league.

But no one is perfect, and Hill was reminded of that fact during the Miami Dolphins' humbling 27-6 playoff defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs last season.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce went on to win another Super Bowl and celebrate with Taylor Swift.

Hill was left to analyze a painful defeat, which saw Kansas City turn a 7-0 first-quarter lead into a total manhandling.

Some fans suffered frostbite and were set to have amputations because the game was so cold and played in freezing weather.

Hill, who has made eight Pro Bowls, was on the receiving end of an embarrassing moment he'll live with for the rest of his playing career.

And despite being cursed out by Miami coach Mike McDaniel -- who's normally known as an upbeat players' coach -- Hill said that he appreciates the team's leader for calling him out and holding him accountable.

Normally Hill is one of the most dominant receivers in the NFL and can be unguardable

Former Chiefs defensive back L'Jarius Sneed dominated Hill and "slammed me to the floor."

That resulted in McDaniel fiercely challenging Miami's best offensive player to be better and step up.

"He called me out," Hill said on the . "He's like, 'Reek, bro, you’re supposed to be the f****** best player in the f****** league and you got this guy putting hands all over you like that. We pay you all this money for what?’

"And for me, I love s*** like that. I’m gonna take that s*** to heart and I’m gonna get better from it. That’ll never happen again to me in my life, man. You feel me?

"If a mother****** cannot hold me accountable, I feel like I’m not gonna be able to get better, you know what I’m saying? Like, obviously, the coaches can bypass that, you know what I’m saying, and just be like, ‘Ah, he’ll get better from it.’

"But if he’s not saying nothing, like the other guys in the locker room, they’re gonna look at it as, ‘Oh, if Reek can do it, I can do it.’ And that’s not getting the team better.”

Hill led the NFL in receiving yards (1,799), touchdowns (13) and yards per game (112.4) last season, and finished sixth in NFL MVP voting.

But it was obvious in the playoffs that the Chiefs were the better team -- and Kansas City is Hill's former team.

Miami's electric offense has stagnated in the playoffs, while Tua Tagovailoa still faces questions about his future with the Dolphins.

There's no doubt that Miami can put up huge numbers with McDaniel as head coach.

But there are lingering concerns about Tagovailoa's toughness and the Dolphins' ability to win gritty games in cold weather.

Hill being called out by McDaniel is proof that Miami has another level to reach in 2024, and it starts with the leading receiver in the NFL.
