Patrick Mahomes was ‘so nervous’ he turned into a tongue-tied fan boy when he met Lionel Messi
Patrick Mahomes gave Lionel Messi four words of advice.
The message was so friendly and simple that Mahomes was jokingly made fun of when the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback appeared on a popular podcast.

The three-time Super Bowl champion said on Impaulsive with Logan Paul that he is "scared of Mike Tyson" and gave Jake Paul advice on how to last with Iron Mike in the ring.
Another big highlight of the interview was the Chiefs QB discussing his recent brief meeting with Messi in Kansas City.
"I just met Messi the other day," Mahomes proudly said.
"I saw the clip," Logan replied.

While Mahomes regularly hangs out with Taylor Swift and is close friends with Travis Kelce, being in the same hallway as Messi was a totally different level.
"I was so nervous," Mahomes said.
There wasn't a perfect place or time to meet Messi, who was playing an MLS match for Inter Miami against Sporting Kansas City.
So Mahomes greeted the World Cup-winning star in the players tunnel before kickoff and the iconic duo shared a quick but warm embrace.

"I was hoping it happened naturally," Mahomes said. "So I'm just walking down the hall and they're walking in a tight hallway.
"He's going to warm up. I'm like, what are you supposed to say?"

The three-time Super Bowl MVP tried to be friendly and helpful to an athlete he looks up to.
So Mahomes simply advised Messi to "have fun out there."
"He had a goal and assist, so I feel like he had a great time," Mahomes said. "He had he had fun, yeah, it's all on me."
The 28-year-old QB has already been selected to six Pro Bowls and won two NFL MVPs.
Mahomes recently led Kansas City to a thrilling overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, which ended with Kelce kissing Swift on the field.
Swift is a big deal.
But to Mahomes, Messi is an even bigger superstar.
