“You cannot do that” – Dallas Cowboys crisis deepens as divisive CeeDee Lamb feels the heat following $136 million contract

Three weeks into the season and the Dallas Cowboys are unraveling earlier than usual.
CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys newly paid star wide receiver voiced his frustration on the sideline during Sunday's 28-25 defeat at home to the Baltimore Ravens that dropped them to 1-2 for the season.
The cameras picked up Lamb being visibly upset at his fellow new-money man, in quarterback Dak Prescott.
And after the game, even the former Cowboys had their say.
“You’re facing going 1-2, the last thing you need to be doing is having some explicative going on the sideline against your QB1, having terrible body language when everybody else is in the game fighting for yard after yard," Isaiah Stanback told , the Cowboys official postgame show.
"When you’re on the sideline, taking a knee, having bad facial expressions, and your No. 2, 3 and 4 receivers are out there getting first downs … you can’t do that."
Last month, Lamb signed a four-year, $136 million extension, receiving a $38 million signing bonus and $100 million in guaranteed money.
Shortly before the Cowboys kicked off their season opener in Cleveland against the Browns, Prescott signed a four-year, $240 million contract, with $231 million in guaranteed money.
It is the biggest contract in league history, averaging out to $60 million per year.
In total, the Cowboys extended their two stars to a whopping $376 million. To now see what is transpiring on the sideline, in only Week 3, is massively concerning.
That's an expensive spat.
After coming off a thorough stomping by the New Orleans Saints the week prior, losing 44-16, Dallas was once again getting pummeled and pushed around by Baltimore, trailing 28-6 heading into the fourth.
While a valiant effort transpired, scoring 19 unanswered points, the comeback ultimately fell short, as it was too little too late, sinking Dallas to 1-2 and last in the NFC East.
If the Cowboys want to right the ship, they will need their newly minted $367 million star duo on the same page. Not spouting on the sideline for everyone to see.
Through three games, Lamb has 13 receptions for 218 yards and one touchdown. Nowhere near good enough.
There is a reason why Jerry Jones paid CeeDee Lamb what he did.
Lamb is a top-three receiver in the game and is getting paid like it. He has a proven body of work and track record indicating that he and the Cowboys will be just fine.
No one is pushing the panic button - yet - on what's taken place over the course of the first three weeks of the season.
It is still very early, but drop this Thursday night's game against fellow NFC East basement dwelling New York Giants, and it's all of a sudden going to get real late, real fast.
The Cowboys have a myriad of issues to fix, the porous defense being at the top of the list, but if Lamb and Prescott can't iron out whatever is happening between the two of them, then they stand no shot.
All eyes will be on Rutherford, New Jersey, come Thursday night as the pressure starts to mount on America's team.
After playing the Giants on Thursday night, the Cowboys will begin a tough three-game stretch.
At Pittsburgh, home against Detroit, then at San Francisco.
Starting the season 1-2, with a challenging October slate ahead leads very little room for error against a Giants team that the Cowboys should be able to handle.
Falling to 1-3 heading into that October gauntlet would be a tough hill to overcome.
Now is the time for Jerry Jones to start seeing his ROI on the combined $376 million he gave out to Prescott and Lamb.
Or else it's about to get very dark on America's team.
