‘Do you know football?’ talkSPORT NFL host gets fiery response from co-host over Travis Kelce comments in heated debate

Travis Kelce's form has been one of the hottest talking points of the NFL season through four weeks.
The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0, but serious injuries to Isiah Pacheco and Rashee Rice have dented their three-peat hopes.
Kelce returned to form in Week 4 with seven receptions for 89 yards - more than doubling his tally for the season.
Patrick Mahomes has admitted he is struggling - and the talkSPORT Rundown panel discussed whether the Chiefs should pursue an aggressive trade to find him a weapon amid links to Tyreek Hill.
Kelce's form is central to the question as he operates in the same areas as Rice, with the debate getting feisty when host Jay Lawrence brought up last week's show with marvelbet369.com's Brian T. Smith.
"You said last week, Brian, Travis Kelce is not a good player. Is Travis Kelce a good player?"
Showing there was more to it than that, Smith started by pointing out Kelce is one of the best tight ends in NFL history.
"No, no, that's not what I'm asking," Lawrence said. "I'm not asking about the history. I'm saying this season is Travis Kelce a good player? Can [the Chiefs] rely on Travis Kelce to get that three-peat?"
"We will find out," noted Smith, who was accused of 'sitting on the fence.'
"No, that's a fact. We will find out," he fired back. "Through three weeks, Travis Kelce was not good enough. That's a fact.
"I have no problem saying that. I will put my name all over that. And actually, I will flip it back to you. Do you know football?
"If you know football, you would look at the stats and say that Travis Kelce was horrible through three weeks.
"That was perfectly fair to call him out. He was good last week. He wasn't the best tight end in the NFL.
"He has to keep doing this week after week and prove it.
"And he's going to get double-teamed. He's going to get triple-teamed.
"It's on the front office, Andy Reid, to go and find Patrick Mahomes another weapon.
"They are not winning the Super Bowl again if Travis Kelce is average and you're beat up. No, he has not been good enough this year."
Kelce and the Chiefs take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
talkSPORT will be covering all the talking points from that clash - and the rest of the NFL action - on the next edition of the Rundown.
