‘Magic isn’t there’ – Kyle Brandt offers scathing assessment of NFL’s nightmare franchise

The Dallas Cowboys nightmare season could be about to get a whole lot worse.
A 27-21 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons saw the team fall to 3-5 on Week 9, while quarterback Dak Prescott left the game early with a troublesome injury.
The highest-paid player in the NFL went down late in the third quarter after a five-yard scramble and a wobbling ten-yard pass to Jalen Brooks.
He retreated to the sideline to have what appeared to be a swollen right hand checked out, before the Cowboys announced he would not return due to the hamstring injury.
Prescott will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his issue, and there is a chance he will miss some action.
The woes at QB add to an already troubled offense.
Even before the Cowboys kicked off against the Falcons, it was reported that running back Ezekiel Elliott would miss the game due to disciplinary reasons.
He was left behind by the team and didn't even make the flight to Atlanta.
The decision to bring back an ageing Elliott ahead of the 2024 season will now be further under the microscope, and with games against the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans and Washington Commanders coming up next, things look pretty bleak for Dallas.
So bleak, in fact, that Kyle Brandt has offered a scathing assessment of the franchise.
"I'm falling asleep here, I'm bored. This is not an interesting team, there's no spark," Brandt said on Good Morning Football.
"I ask it every year: How is this standard-issue Cowboys team different? Well, we're finding out. They're just way, way worse.
"Usually with the Cowboys, it's the same product, with the same ingredients and the same bad ending."
Brandt went on to compare Dallas to the Fast & Furious movies, suggesting that the 2024 season is "the Tokyo Drift of the franchise."
"The magic just isn't there guys. We're not into it," he continued.
"They're not only not good, they're not interesting and I'm eager to not talk about them anymore."
Following their Week 9 loss, the Cowboys have been a hot topic of conversation.
Shannon Sharpe suggested their season is already over as he broke down the Falcons defeat on Nightcap, and even offered owner Jones some cheeky vacation advice for January.
"It ain't looking good. But if you start now, I'm sure you can get a great deal on an Airbnb in Jamaica, Cancun, Turks and Caicos, because you're booking them so far in advance," he said, arguing that the Cowboys won't be able to turn their season around and reach the playoffs.
