Washington Commanders (7-5) to beat Tennessee Titans (3-8)
The Washington Commanders have hit a bump in the road in their season having lost their last three games, including a disappointing divisional loss to the Cowboys last week. Sunday’s home matchup
against the 3-8 Titans will be a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.
Rookie Quarterback Jayden Daniels has struggled in the last few weeks but was still able to miraculously find Terry McLaurin for an 86 yard touchdown last week. A player of Daniels' quality is unlikely to struggle for too long, particularly against a team with eight defeats in the season.
The Titans got back to winning ways with an upset victory against the Texans last week and should be a tough test for the Commanders. However, the Washington side are still in the hunt for a wildcard place as should have enough for the victory.
Cincinnati Bengals (4-7) to beat Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3)
The Bengals are teetering towards elimination from playoff contention and Sunday’s battle against divisional rivals Steelers really feels like a last chance to salvage the season.
For all the issues with the Bengals, they are fortunate to have a Quarterback in Joe Burrow who is playing at the utmost of his abilities. Burrow has thrown 27 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions this season and would be in contention for the MVP honours had the Bengals' season gone differently.
The Steelers seek to recover from a disappointing loss to the Browns where they contributed to their own downfall with poor decisions and special teams mistakes. The quality of their team comes from their defence, though a Quarterback like Burrow is good enough to cause them issues. If the Steelers have to rely on their offence to win the game they may come unstuck.
Los Angeles Chargers (7-4) to beat Atlanta Falcons (6-5)
Both the Atlanta Falcons and LA Chargers will inch closer to a playoff place in their respective conferences with a win on Sunday.
The Chargers defence has taken a bit of a step back in the past two weeks, allowing over 27 points in games against the Bengals and the Ravens. However, they are still one of the most formidable opponents in the league and should be able to give Falcons QB Kirk Cousins problems.
Seattle Seahawks (6-5) to beat New York Jets (3-8)
Geno Smith returns to the Meadowlands to lead his Seahawks against the faltering New York Jets on Sunday. The Seahawks have won their last 2 games and have shown improvement in their defence, holding the 49ers to 17 points and the Cardinals to six. The NFC West is very much up for grabs and the Seahawks will look at Sunday as a chance to grab another victory.
The Jets have lost 7 of their last 8 games and look destined for another losing season. The negativity around the state of the team is almost overwhelming and there were reports that Aaron Rodgers would be placed on injured reserve in midweek. While they still have a talented team on paper, this team feels like its destined to continue losing games.
