  • Super Bowl LIX - Sunday February 9, New Orleans

In the coaching cycle, the Las Vegas Raiders are naming Pete Carroll as their head coach, leaving the New Orleans Saints as the only team with a spot to fill.

  • Commanders fumble!

    Turnovers matter.

None of the four teams who made it to this stage gave away the ball last week.

The Commanders have now coughed up the rock twice in the first half after a special teams disaster on the kickoff.

Philadelphia is already in field goal range and looking for more.

  • Commanders 12-20 Eagles

A costly pass interference call on Marshon Lattimore in the end zone sets up a Brotherly Shove.

The result is inevitable as Jalen Hurts crosses.

Lattimore is penalized again for fighting with A.J. Brown which sets up a short two-point try but it is no good!

  • Commanders 12-14 Eagles

Jayden Daniels is under intense pressure but isn't backing down.

He finds his star wideout Terry McLaurin, who breaks a tackle for a house call.

  • Mack is back

Mack Hollins turning up to games with no shoes is becoming a tradition.

This week he's in a bizarre get-up paying homage to Animal from the muppets.

  • Commanders 6-14 Eagles

Washington is keeping the scoreboard ticking over.

No touchdowns yet but the gap is down to eight points.

The Eagles will have a chance to increase their lead midway through the second quarter.

  • Commanders 3-14 Eagles

Saquon Barkley already has two scores.

His first was an incredible 60-yard breakaway - you can watch it below.

Next up was a far more routine score - they all count the same on the scoreboard.

  • Commanders fumble!

After an 18-play opening drive, its has fallen apart for Washington.

Philadelphia scored on their first play - a 60-yard Saquon Barkley run.

And now the Eagles have the ball back in Commanders territory.

  • Commanders 3-7 Eagles

    Saquon Barkley is unstoppable.

Those missed tackles will be replayed in the film room if the Commanders win this game.

  • Commanders 3-0 Eagles

Tom Brady in the Fox Sports booth says Jayden Daniels is playing at 'an MVP level' this season.

He has already converted two fourth downs in this game before the Washington Commanders settled for a chip-shot field goal instead of pushing their luck.

Plays like this are hard to stop...

  • And we're live...

Fans hyped, the anthem sung, can Jayden Daniels lead the underdog Washington Commanders to a road victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • NFL GOAT ready for Super Bowl return

Jayden Daniels and Saquon Barkley are dreaming of the Super Bowl.

    So is Tom Brady.

While recent weeks have seen the seven-time Super Bowl winner regularly criticized, Brady has continued to move closer toward a career first.

He's set to call Super Bowl LIX for FOX, marking the first time the rookie announcer will call the big game from the booth.

Brady was seen walking the field in Philadelphia before kickoff.

To some fans, it looked like the NFL GOAT was missing having a ball in his hand.

"He looks like he wants to suit up and get out there," one fan tweeted. "Has to be hard for him at times."

  • 'Hating on Chiefs' has become hugely popular in NFL

Kansas City Chiefs fans are dreaming of a third straight Super Bowl victory and NFL history.

To achieve that feat, Kansas City must repeat recent history by defeating Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs.

But fans across the globe are pulling for a different team -- anyone who can get in Kansas City's way.

Referee conspiracies and the Houston Texans have recently dominated the news, thanks to the Chiefs.

And while Taylor Swift might cheer on Travis Kelce and the back-to-back Super Bowl champs, it's obvious entering Championship Sunday that most of America is a Bills fan.

  • Jayden Daniels aiming for NFL history

Washington's rookie quarterback is on the verge of NFL history.

Jayden Daniels will become the first rookie QB to make the Super Bowl if the Washington Commanders defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship on Sunday.

"One day you guys gonna here my name everywhere," Daniels tweeted on July 24, 2014.

In January 2025, he's on the verge of winning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, while the revitalized Commanders are so hot that Matthew McConaughey has revealed to the world that he's a huge fan.

After being drafted No. 2 overall behind Caleb Williams, Daniels led Washington to a 12-5 record and the playoffs.

He then beat Tampa Bay and Detroit on the way to the NFC Championship.

  • Eagles face key injury before facing Jayden Daniels

Saquon Barkley will have to be even better against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

The Eagles learned about 90 minutes before kickoff in the NFC Championship that they won't have starting center Cam Jurgens at full strength.

Jurgens was reportedly going to be inactive, then his status was clarified.

"The Eagles are going to make Cam Jurgens active for today's game, so he isn't officially out," Ari Meirov tweeted.

"But he's considered unlikely to start and only expected in for an emergency situation."

Philadelphia has one of the league's best offensive lines, while Barkley was the NFL's top running back in 2024.

But with a Super Bowl spot on the line, Philly is down a fully healthy center.

Jurgens started 16 games this season and earned a Pro Bowl selection.

  • The pick is in

The NFL has announced the dates for April's Draft.

The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 pick as it stands - with the organization teasing fans by vowing not to miss out on a "generational talent."

Punters went into a frenzy putting bets on Travis Hunter to hear his name called first after the story broke.

We'll only really know on April 23.

Until then we'll have to do with the race to the Super Bowl.

  • Lions victims of own success

Dan Campbell has built a formidable team in Detroit.

The Lions' injury problems finally caught up with them in a playoff defeat to the Washington Commanders.

Detroit's roster is good enough to launch another challenge next season but Campbell's success has seen his supporting cast picked apart.

Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, defensive line coach Terrell Williams, receivers coach Antwaan Randle El and assistant quarterbacks coach J.T. Barrett have all been poached by rival teams.

Campbell must now shrug off his disappointment and rebuild his staff.

Then attention will turn to April's Draft, where the defense needs depth - and lots of it.

  • Blast from the past

Jayden Daniels has made plenty of history this season.

And he can make even more if he leads the Washington Commanders past the Philadelphia Eagles.

Daniels wasn't even born the last time Washington won the Super Bowl in 1992.

He is one win away from having the chance to rewrite the history books.

A lot has changed since 1992...

  • Teams get chance to sit down with Shedeur

Deion Sanders could talk his way into just about anything.

And his son Shedeur will have the chance to try and persuade teams he is worthy of the No.1 pick this week.

Sanders is an interview-only participant at the Shrine Bowl, per NFL Draft scout Matt Millar.

He will not practice but can speak to potential landing spots.

  • Jerry had the world on strings

Jerry Jones convinced everybody he was ready to make a splash and bring Deion Sanders to Dallas.

Coach Prime on America's Team - what a spectacle that could have been.

Was Jones finally ready to pick a high-profile coach who isn't afraid to speak his mind?

Nope, he enjoyed dominating the headlines and promoted offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer instead.

It's an underwhelming move coming off a 7-10 season.

But it will ensure continuity for offensive stars Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

  • Big Dom is Philly's secret mastermind

Who is the man in the shadows that resides on the sideline in Philadelphia? Asks Jack Savage.

    His name is Dom DiSandro.

Most people know him as 'Big Dom'.

He is the hulking figure that stalks the hallways and sidelines at Lincoln Financial Field.

DiSandro is in his 26th season with the Eagles and serves as the senior advisor to the general manager, chief security officer and game day coaching operations.

It's quite a title. But what does it mean.

Basically, he oversees all safety and security matters for players, coaches, and executives.

In other words, no one steps foot in the stadium or around the organization without DiSandro knowing about it.

This year, on more than one occasion, he has been seen keeping head coach Nick Sirianni from losing his cool, whether on opposing players or his own fans.

  • Ja'Marr Chase heads to Canton

The Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro wide receiver is on his way to the Hall of Fame.

Or at least some of his items are.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced that they are commemorating Chase's historic 2024 season with a special display in Canton.

"Bengals wide receiver earns the Triple Crown, the youngest to do so since Hall of Famer Don Hutson at 23 in 1936. His jersey, gloves and cleats are now on display at the Hall of Fame."

It was a historic year for Chase, who won the league's triple crown, making him only the second player since 2005 to do so.

Chase finished with 127 receptions for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns.

It's only a matter of time before Chase himself follows his jersey, gloves and cleats to Canton, to go along with a bronze bust.

  • Cancun on 3!

Jayden Daniels had a message for the Detroit Lions after eliminating them in the divisional round.

He knows where they are headed next.

Daniels signed Lions Terrion Arnold's jersey after the game with a simple message.

    "Cancun on 3, 1-2-3."

The rookie is having the time of his life after a historic first year campaign.

    And it isn't over yet.

Daniels can become the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to start in the Super Bowl if the Commanders beat the Eagles on Sunday.

  • Liam Coen makes statement on taking Jaguars job

After a chaotic 48 hours between Liam Coen, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the dramatic sequence of events has finally reached a conclusion.

Coen is the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He has released a statement addressing the matter.

“Becoming the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars is an opportunity of a lifetime, and one that I am going to run with to instill a championship culture and winning tradition here in Duval," Coen said.

"This doesn’t happen without the support and opportunities that my family and I have been afforded throughout my career, especially during this past season in Tampa Bay.

"We thank Todd Bowles for his continued support and the entire Buccaneers organization for the experience, and know they will have success ahead.

“Most of all, we are grateful to Shad Khan for his belief in what we will bring to the Jaguars.  We will work tirelessly to reward his confidence.

"As head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, I will hire a first-class coaching staff, establish a distinctive and effective brand of football on both sides of the ball, and our players will live for the black and teal.

"Shad and Jaguars fans should expect nothing less, and that’s what we plan to deliver and more.  My wife Ashley and our family are honored to be here and a part of the Jacksonville community.

"We are ready to get to work.”

  • Texans fire offensive coordinator

The Houston Texans are moving off of offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.

The Texans offense took a major step back this season, including quarterback C.J. Stroud who went through a noticeable sophomore slump.

The offense was inconsistent and clunky through the majority of the year, while also dealing with key injuries, and now head coach DeMeco Ryans has decided to move in a different direction.

Slowik was thought to be one of the hottest coaching candidates after last season, but opted to return to Houston.

Fast forward a year later, he is now out of a job.

Carroll has previously worked as head coach for the New York Jets, New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

He won Super Bowl XLVIII with Seattle in 2014, before parting ways with the franchise in 2023 after 14 seasons.

Carroll worked in an advisory role for the Seahawks last season, but will return to the sideline in Las Vegas next season.
