The Super Bowl will attract plenty of Taylor Swift fans yet again this Sunday.

Tens of millions are going to have eyes on the big game, and a large proportion will also be tuning in to see pop superstar Swift in the stands.

Swift, whose relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce exploded Super Bowl viewership last year, will be in attendance once again. 

But is there a chance the pop superstar will join Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance? 

Will Taylor Swift appear in Super Bowl halftime show? 

There has been no official news on whether Swift will feature in the Super Bowl LIX halftime show. 

Rumours began to gain some traction about a potential appearance by the 35-year-old pop sensation after Lamar was confirmed as the performer.

The rapper collaborated with Swift in 2015, featuring on a remix of the song ‘Bad Blood’.

On top of that, at the Grammys last weekend, Lamar won five awards and Swift was in the crowd standing to cheer him every time. 

She was also seen dancing to his performance of ‘Not Like Us’, showing the clear connection between the two world-famous artists. 

It has led to fans dreaming of a cameo from Kelce’s girlfriend to join Lamar, but Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes can’t see it happening.

“As long as Trav’s playing and we’re in the Super Bowl, it’s going to be hard for her to do the halftime show,” Mahomes said.

“So hopefully Trav keeps playing and we keep making it to the Super Bowl.”

Swift will be in the stands for the game at Caesars Superdome, but the chances of her coming down from her suite at halftime are slim. 

However, it can’t be completely ruled out as the NFL can keep things under wraps. 

Beyonce and Bruno Mars appeared with Coldplay for Super Bowl 50 and fans had no prior notice for that incredible performance. 

However, as Swift hasn’t actually headlined a Super Bowl halftime performance herself, she would likely wait to star in her own show first rather than feature. 

And as Mahomes said, while boyfriend Kelce is playing in the game, she’d struggle to be focused on the action and perform at the break. 

Swift is known to get really involved while the Chiefs play, attending almost every home game and celebrating with the Kelce family and friends.

So it's unlikely that Swift will join Lamar who has already confirmed that SZA will be joining him during his show. 

Lamar and SZA are going on tour together this year so that wasn't a big surprise, but there are bound to be more special guests too. 

Future, Metro Boomin, Doechii and Baby Keem are all names that have been tipped to potentially appear in the performance.
