Andy Ruiz reacts as fan dresses up as him in unique costume for Halloween

A boxing fan has shown off his impressive Halloween costume this year as he's set to enjoy the celebrations dressed as Andy Ruiz.

The former heavyweight world champion is the unlikely source of inspiration for the fancy dress, which surely must be unique.

The man himself even gave a reaction on social media.

Ruiz shared the image posted by the fan on his Instagram story.

The Mexican-American of course surged to stardom when he stunned Anthony Joshua to win the WBA, IBF and WBO world titles in 2019.

Six months later though, Ruiz was dethroned by AJ in their rematch as the Brit comfortably outboxed him for a unanimous decision win.

In 2021, he returned with a victory over Chris Arreola, though was floored in that fight.

Most recently, back in August, Ruiz faced Luis Ortiz and scored three knockdowns for a decision win.

This fight has now put him in position for a final eliminator against Deontay Wilder.

The WBC are expected to order that fight at their convention in November.

The winner will then become the mandatory challenger for Tyson Fury's WBC heavyweight world title, potentially giving Ruiz the chance to become champion once again.
