Perhaps unsurprisingly, Dettori starts as favourite in most of the races he is involved in at Ascot.

The Italian's opening day was extremely busy as he hopped on six horses, including Chaldean in the St James' Palace Stakes.

His quietest two days are Friday and Saturday, with Dettori taking part in a total of seven races.

However, one of those races will be the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, aboard Free Wind.

Dettori and the late Queen were close, so that will be a poignant moment for the 52-year-old, who has promised fans at some point.
