England will take on Fiji this afternoon as they aim to book their place in the Rugby World Cup semi-finals.

Steve Borthwick’s side have won every game at the tournament so far, beating Argentina, Japan, Chile and Samoa.

They now face Fiji, who earned a place in the final four despite handing Portugal a historic first-ever win at rugby’s showpiece.

A spot in the semi-finals of the World Cup awaits England if they can continue their flawless record on Sunday afternoon.

Who will England play in World Cup semi-finals?

If England beat Fiji, they will play either France or South Africa

That means Borthwick’s men are guaranteed to face a very tough task if they book their place in the Rugby World Cup semi-finals.

France are joint-favourites to win the tournament while South Africa are also considered one of the most likely countries to become world champions again.

The tournament hosts have won every game convincingly, winning Pool A after multiple demolitions including a 96-0 win over Namibia.

Meanwhile, South Africa were beaten by Ireland but have also dominated matches, with a 76-0 triumph against Romania.

The giants now come up against each other in what is expected to be a huge clash and England will be taking on the winner if they overcome Fiji.

The last time England faced France was earlier this year in March and it ended in a humiliating 53-10 loss at the Six Nations.

And they were also beaten the last time they took on South Africa as they fell to a 27-13 defeat at Twickenham in November 2022.

So Borthwick will be hoping that if his side do make it through, they can get revenge against whoever they come up against next.

The semi-final will be played at the Stade de France in Paris on Saturday, October 21 and will kick off at 8pm.
