Ireland will take on New Zealand in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup this weekend as two of the tournament favourites meet.

Andy Farrell’s side have won every game at the showpiece so far, proving why they are considered one of the most likely to lift the trophy.

However, the All Blacks have also thrived in France after losing to the hosts in their opener, winning their following three Pool games with ease.

The three-time winners knocked Ireland out of the World Cup four years ago, with Farrell’s men out for revenge this time around.

Ireland vs New Zealand: What has been said?

Ireland head coach Farrell believes this match-up in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals is ‘what dreams are made of’.

Speaking after beating Scotland, he said: "As far as a quarter-final is concerned it doesn't get any tougher.

"It's what dreams are made of. The respect we have got for New Zealand is through the roof and hopefully, they have got a bit of respect for us.

"We will dust ourselves off first of all and recover properly from this one. But I would say that a couple of weeks ago we got some stick from walking around and thanking our fans.

“When they turn out in their thousands like this it is the least we can do."
