Fans surprised by Josh Taylor at weigh-in as he has intense final face-off with Jack Catterall

Josh Taylor has sparked interest from fans after making weight to face Jack Catterall.
Taylor and Catterall will finally settle their differences in a high-profile rematch at 140lbs this weekend at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, over two years on from their first meeting.
It was the final weigh-in today in Yorkshire, as the pair stepped on the scales and both successfully made the limit, with Taylor at 139.6lbs (9st 13.6lbs) and Catterall coming in at 138.8lbs (9st 12.8lbs).
An intense face-off followed as the pair glared into each other's eyes, before Catterall attempted to grab the 'Tartan Tornado' which saw the fighters quickly separated.
Question marks have been raised over Taylor's ability to make super-lightweight, having looked extremely drained in the past including for his controversial win over Catterall in 2022, and in his defeat to Teofimo Lopez last June.
But this time, fans were quick to remark on how healthy he looked at the weight, with one writing: "Josh Taylor looked like he made that weight very well.
Another agreed: "Josh looks in better shape this time. He was proper weight drained last time.
One added: "Josh looked well for a change at the weight."
A viewer even went as far as suggesting: "Josh Taylor is a different kind of dog this time out. Looks in top condition."
One comment was less optimistic, claiming: "Who’s ready for the 'Taylor was drained' excuses when he gets beat again?
A final fan pointed out: "Everyone quiet about Taylor struggling to make the weight now. Never in doubt."
There has been an intense build-up to the new collision with Taylor having already been forced to withdraw from their original April date after suffering an injury.
Catterall has campaigned for the sequel for years, given the hugely controversial decision saw the undisputed titles snatched away from him on enemy soil.
Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn remarked how good the pair looked on the scales and is expecting a titanic tussle.
He said: “Josh Taylor – people worried about how he’d look at 140. Don’t forget, he was the guy who asked for 140 – we expected a catchweight.
"He looked healthy on the scales – Jack did, as we’d expect. Both guys in their physical prime to give us a great night tomorrow night.
"You heard a small sample of the atmosphere here. Wait until tomorrow night with 11,000.
"It’s going to be wild, and I think we see a great, all-British, dust-up.”
