Hamzah Sheeraz makes offer to fight ‘boxing royalty’ Chris Eubank Jr after stunning KO win

Hamzah Sheeraz has his eyes fully focused on a showdown with Chris Eubank Jr next.
Sheeraz is considered one of the brightest contenders in British boxing, and he cemented that status with an incredible stoppage win over previously-undefeated American Ammo Williams.
Now the sky is the limit for the Briton, who will look to push for world honours and meetings with high-profile names after proving his credentials.
Sheeraz spoke to talkSPORT hosts Jim White and Simon Jordan, declaring it is fellow British superstar Eubank Jr who he is after next.
He said: "Hopefully it is against Chris Eubank Jr [next fight].
"That is the fight I would love to have and it makes the most sense for my next one.
"Both on the world scene and domestically it makes sense, and has all the ingredients to be a great domestic dust-up."
When asked to clarify why he'd like 'Next Gen' next, he added: "Now is the time.
"He is not past it, he is in his prime especially after his performance against Liam Smith.
"I was ringside for that, and he did what he had to do.
"The huge opportunity to share the ring with boxing royalty is another touch."
Eubank Jr hasn't fought since securing his revenge with a dominant stoppage win over Smith in September 2023.
The British star was then thrown back into talks to settle his rivalry with Conor Benn, but the latter was provisionally suspended again with his BBBofC licence still in doubt.
After losing out, reports then emerged that he was in talks to face pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford but a showdown also failed to materialise.
He is now a free agent and is exploring his options, as he searches for a return to world honours now aged 34.
Sheeraz could well be an intriguing encounter for Eubank Jr, as the new generation looks to dethrone the old.
