The pinstriped Mets and Phillies uniforms are some of the most iconic in baseball, and this special run of jerseys also feature hand-drawn illustrations by Finley - renowned for her work in the sneaker industry, particularly with Nike.

Images of Americana adorn the back of both shirts, including the famous New York City hotdog and Statue of Liberty, while travel-inspired patches also feature, representing fans’ journey across the pond to watch their beloved teams play on UK soil.

Only 48 jerseys will be available in total, 24 for each team, with the exclusive designs dropping on Friday June 7.

They’re available on the online, or in person at the Lids store, Westfield Stratford, from 10am.

The Mets and Phillies will bring their historic rivalry to the English capital this weekend in the latest edition of the London Series.

This will be the third event of its kind, following the inaugural London Series in 2019 between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, but its return following COVID-19 in 2023 as the Chicago Cubs took on the St Louis Cardinals.

With a focus of MLB’s top rivalries, the Mets and Phillies will take part in their first ‘Battle of the Broads’ on foreign soil in its 60-year history.

There will be loads of star-quality on show, including Phillies big hitters Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber and the Mets’ key duo Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor.

But while the sport is the main event, there’s plenty else to entertain fans at this two-day celebration of Americana.

The London Series is a food-lover’s paradise with a huge menu of American classics on offer, including Philly cheese steaks, mouth-watering burgers and the return of the famous two-foot long ‘boomstick’ hotdog.

They’ll be stars aplenty off the field, too, with hardcore Phillies can and co-owner of AFC Wrexham Rob McElhenney taking part in the traditional first pitch ceremony, alongside Hollywood actor and Mets fan Matthew Broderick.

There's also music from English singer Jess Glynne on Sunday, with a house band banging out the tunes throughout both games over the weekend.

Whether you’re into baseball or not, there’s something for everyone, and who knows, you might just become a fan.
