World Snooker Championship 2025 prize money: Payout breakdown as stars eye huge winnings at Crucible

Not only do world snooker champions receive a beautiful trophy for winning the tournament, they also claim a huge amount of money.
Last year, Kyren Wilson got his hands on £500,000 for conquering the World Snooker Championship - but he was unable to do it again.
Wilson became the latest victim of the infamous Crucible curse after being knocked out in the opening round.
The legendary Ronnie O’Sullivan was then knocked out by Zhao Xintong who has reached the final, with world No.1 Judd Trump or Mark Williams set to join him.
It was a massive half-a-million winning prize in 2024, but what is the whopping payout this year?
A total of £2.395million will be available at the World Snooker Championship.
This is the same amount of money that was on offer at last year’s tournament and the winner of the World Championship will claim £500,000 once again.
Second place recieves £200,000 while losers in the semi-finals take home £100,000.
For losing in the quarter-finals, players depart with £50,000 each while last 16 finishers receive £30,000.
There is also money on offer for the highest break, which has been achieved three times already.
Jackson Page made history in qualifying with two 147s in the same match, and he must now share the prize with Mark Allen after he made one in his second-round contest against Chris Wakelin.
