NFL news: Vendor arrested for charging $724 for two beers at Miami Dolphins game
No matter how bad the Miami Dolphins play this season, $724 worth of beer would not numb that pain.
For those of you thinking it might, please consider this is what one man was forced to pay for just two beers.
Nathaniel Collier, a vendor employed to walk Miami's Hard Rock Stadium selling drinks, charged two beers to a fan’s credit card during Sunday’s 30-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
But instead of using the stadium’s card reader, Collier sneakily used his own personal reader, and charged the fan $724. He was only caught when the customer’s bank alerted them to the extortionate charge – and Collier was listed as the vendor.

Collier was not an employee of the Miami Dolphins, rather Rocket Man, a vending subcontractor. Naturally, he has been sacked.
“As the chosen provider of walking vendors across dozens of stadiums, we take the matter of security extremely seriously, and train and monitor our vendors to safeguard our customers,” . “Our onsite supervisor contacted the authorities immediately upon learning of the overcharge on what was Mr Collier’s unauthorized personal device.”
The Dolphins are rock-bottom in the east after losing all of their first four games and many are doubting whether they'll win a game at all.
Ironically, the Super Bowl will be played at their stadium this season.
