NFL star Russell Wilson and wife Ciara make incredible gesture by donating ONE MILLION meals to food bank in Seattle amid coronavirus crisis

Seattle Seahawks quarter-back Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara have joined a growing list of celebrities doing their bit to help out amid the coronavirus crisis.
So far, nearly 9,000 people in the US have tested positive for COVID-19 and at least 149 people have died, with the outbreak expected to worsen significantly throughout the coming weeks.
Like in the UK, citizens have been advised to avoid all unnecessary contact, and society's most vulnerable could be left facing seriously difficult times.
To make a difference, Wilson and pop star Ciara have donated one million meals to their local food bank in Seattle.
A joint Instagram post read: "The world needs us ALL. These are unprecedented times. We are supporting our community in Seattle by donating one million meals with Seattle @FoodLifeLine.
"Rally with us and support your local food bank @FeedingAmerica We can all make a difference together. Let’s all keep the Faith during this difficult time."
The NFL star said in a clip: "People are losing loved ones - the elderly and the young, the people in between. You think about people losing jobs, even in Seattle.
"What we've decided to do is partner up with our local food bank in Seattle, Seattle Food Lifeline, and we're gonna donate a million meals, hopefully make a difference."
Ciara added: "We want to encourage everyone out there to join us in whatever way that you can, big or small. Everything makes a difference. Everything that we do together makes a difference."
