Sir Mo Farah recalls getting on train with Olympic gold medals a day after ‘Super Saturday’ at London 2012

Overnight, Sir Mo Farah became a British athletics legend when he secured his second gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics.
Having coasted to 10,000m glory earlier in the Games, Farah secured a double Olympic gold with a fantastic win in the 5,000m.
It came on a truly memorable day for British sport, with a gold rush of medals being won by a number of athletes from Team GB - Heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill and long jumper Greg Rutherford also winning their events on the same evening as Farah.
Morale was understandably very high across the nation and with Farah one of the most famous people in the land at that point, it would be wise for him to keep a low profile the day after.
But Farah decided he wanted to leave the Olympic Village in order to see his family the next day.
Appropriate transport would no doubt have been arranged for the man of the moment but Farah amazingly decided to hop on the tube to visit his wife and kids!
Speaking on The Sports Bar, Farah recalled: "I couldn't believe it was true. You look in the mirror and think 'really, did it happen?'
"I remember getting up and thinking I wanted to just see my family as they were in hospitality... I thought the car was going to take two hours just to get there with the roads and stuff.
"So I thought 'nah, I'll get on the tube'... I put my hoody on!
"There was one guy I remember, he kept looking at me and he gave me the thumbs up."
Sports Bar host Andy Goldstein asked if Farah was actually wearing his gold medals while on the tube.
Farah responded: "No, I had them in my pocket!"
