Ballance handed England World Cup call

Gary Ballance has been recalled to the England one-day squad for the tri-series in Australia and the World Cup.

The Yorkshire batsman, 25, returns to the 15-man group while Alastair Cook has been dropped as captain in favour of Eoin Morgan.

James Anderson and Stuart Broad are also back in the squad Ben Stokes and Harry Gurney are removed from the fold.

There is also a place for Nottinghamshire’s Alex Hales who has been tipped to star for England on the ODI stage.
