Strauss ton sees England defeat Pakistan

England beat Pakistan by four wickets with three balls to spare in a tight match at Headingley.
Pakistan set a high target of 295 for the hosts as Kamran Akmal (74) and Asad Shafiq (50) proved hard to remove for the England bowlers, while two other batsmen hit scores above 40.
England went to their task with aplomb and captain Andrew Strauss hit a magnificent 126, assisted superbly by Jonathan Trott (53), to give his team-mates a fantastic chance of winning the game.
Saeed Ajmal eventually claimed the wicket of Strauss but England’s middle order was able to maintain momentum and Tim Bresnan hit the winning runs in the final over to seal a two nil lead in the one-day international series.
