Pakistan tour manager Saeed quits

Pakistan tour manager Yawar Saeed has resigned from his post following a shambolic tour of England this summer.
Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Ijaz Butt has accepted the decision and the PCB will now hope to draw a line under what has been a long and turbulent few months.
The 75-year old defended his players against various accusations this summer including claims of spot-fixing and irregularities regarding scoring patterns. He claimed on his departure from London last week that he would not resign.
The news follows Test captain Salman Butt and teammates Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir’s suspension by the International Cricket Council after allegations that they deliberately bowled no-balls during the Test match at Lord’s in August.
No details have been disclosed regarding potential replacements although it is believed Pakistan hope to name a new manager in due course. They are next in action against South Africa in the United Arab Emirates in late October.
