Aviva Premiership round-up: Saracens make it two wins from two and Danny Cipriani stars for Sale

More of England’s World Cup flops returned to action during Friday night’s Aviva Premiership rugby fixtures as Saracens edged out Gloucester 17-15 at Kingsholm.
Owen Farrell started at 12 for the visitors, scoring three penalties with Charlie Hodgson adding a fourth as Mike Ellery crossed the whitewash for the reigning champions.
Billy Twelvetrees kicked all of Gloucester’s 15 points to keep them in touch in a game which also included the likes of Ben Morgan, James Hook, Alex Goode and Mako Vunipola.
Elsewhere in the Aviva Premiership, Sale Sharks avenged their opening weekend decimation by Saracens with a 27-13 win over newly-promoted Worcester.
England outcast Danny Cipriani, starting at fly-half, was the star of the show as he converted his own try and kicked a penalty while back row pair David Seymour and Josh Beaumont also crossed for the hosts.
Outside centre Johnny Leota got a late fourth try for the Sharks - converted again by Cipriani - to ensure a bonus point win.
Jonny Arr got the sole try for Worcester, who opened their Premiership campaign with a shock win over Northampton, with Ryan Lamb added the extras after two penalties from Ryan Mills.
