Ollie Devoto and Josh Beaumont drop out of England's Six Nations squad due to injury

England have lost fringe players Ollie Devoto and Josh Beaumont to injury as they prepare for Saturday's Six Nations clash with Ireland.

Devoto was concussed in Bath's defeat by Wasps on Saturday and has been replaced in the 32-man squad that has gathered at the team's Surrey training camp by Luther Burrell.

Of greater concern is the dislocated shoulder suffered by Beaumont in Sale's defeat at Worcester and the number eight is unlikely to play any further part in England's championship.

The Rugby Football Union confirmed in a press release: "Thirty-two players assembled at Pennhyhill Park (on Sunday) evening to train for Saturday's RBS 6 Nations game against Ireland at Twickenham.

"Luther Burrell (Northampton Saints) replaces Ollie Devoto (Bath Rugby), who suffered concussion playing for his club on Saturday.

"Josh Beaumont sustained a dislocated shoulder during his game for Sale Sharks against Worcester Warriors on Saturday and will not join up with the squad."
