Ding Junhui bizarrely docked frame for wearing wrong trousers at English Open

Ding Junhui was docked a frame in his English Open clash against Ma Hailong - for wearing the wrong trousers.
Ding was guilty of wearing brown trousers when the dress code at the Brentwood event specifies players must wear all-black.
It resulted in Ding having to send a friend to buy him a pair of new trousers from a nearby shop.
Upon returning from Brentwood High Street with the right clothes, black shirt and black trousers, Ding was able to resume play.
However, he had to concede a frame after starting the match late, though he still beat his countryman 4-3 in the opening round of the English Open.
Ding had arrived at the BetVictor Home Nations Series event wearing brown trousers, a brown waistcoat and a bow tie - breaking regulations.

"I totally forgot I needed a black shirt and trousers," said Ding.
"My memory is not good. I didn't think about it. Once I was playing I tried to just concentrate on the match.
"Luckily Ma's safety was not that good and he gave me enough chances to win."
Ding fought back from 3-1 down to Ma to claim three frames in a row to land a fine comeback victory.

Joining Ding and Allen in the next round are Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins.
However, there were big scalps taken by Joe O'Connor and Sanderson Lam, who beat Jimmy White and Neil Robertson respectively.
