The 142nd edition of the US Open is upon us as Emma Raducanu and Daniil Medvedev look to defend their Grand Slam titles.
Raducanu stunned world sport by pulling off one of the greatest Major victories in history in New York last summer.

She will head up another elite list of stars in the women’s draw.
Meanwhile, Medvedev defeated living legend Novak Djokovic to claim his maiden Grand Slam crown.
As ever, as host of top names will enter the showpiece tournament ahead of two weeks of top class action in Flushing Meadows.
But Djokovic is not in the draw as the United States is still banning non-vaccinated visitors.
US Open 2022: Date and start time
The Grand Slam is being held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York City.
The hard-surface venue has 22 outdoor courts with an additional 12 practice courts. The four show courts include the Arthur Ashe Stadium, the Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand and Court 17.
There will be a total of 128 players starting off in the men’s and women’s singles.
Play will start on Monday, August 29. Matches on the main court in the Arthur Ashe Stadium will begin at 5pm UK time (British Summer Time is 5 hours ahead of New York).
Play on all other courts will start at 4pm UK time.
The men’s final will take place on Sunday, September 11 at 9pm UK time with the women’s final the day before.
