Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur has four-word message as couple get engaged on court after her match
Ons Jabeur could not hide her delight when a man got down on one knee for an on-court proposal to his now fiancee.
It came before Jabeur’s second-round win over Alycia Parks at the 2023 Guadalajara Open in Mexico.

Top seed Jabeur received a bye in the first round but made an electric start to the match, breaking Parks’ opening serve before snatching the first set.
Jabeur broke her opponents serve again in the second set and despite a fightback from Parks’ the Tunisian’s power proved too much and claimed a 6-2, 6-2 victory, in under an hour of play.
The world No.7 was preparing to conduct an interview when a couple made their way down to the court, close to Jabeur’s seat.
The man then got on one knee and popped the question to the shock and amazement of those in attendance.

Jabeur also got in on the act, smiling and jumping up and down at the heartwarming news amid cheers from the crowd.
The couple then shared a kiss before the 29-year-old Tunisian star, who has been married to professional fencer Karim Kamoun since 2015, took the microphone and told them: “Welcome to the club!”
Jabeur then took the time to speak to the couple, giving them an autographed tennis ball.
Her win sets up a meeting with Martina Trevisan in the third round of the Guadalajara Open.

Jabeur has had a promising 18 months, reaching three grand slam finals.
She lost to Elena Rybakina and Marketa Vondrousova in successive Wimbledon finals in 2022 and 2023, while Iga Swiatek beat her in the 2022 US Open final.
