He has struggled at the start of 2024, winning just two matches all year and admitted that he is not enjoying it.

The 36-year-old has battled back from near-career ending hip surgery to still be playing, but the message is very much enjoy him while you can.

Earlier this week he admitted that he probably only has a 'few months' left before he retires.

Murray, who won gold medals at London 2012 and Rio 2016, admitted he would like one last crack at the Olympics.

"Hopefully I can get the chance to compete at another one," Murray said to the BBC.

This would rule out quitting at Wimbledon, with that taking place before Paris 2024 later this year.

Murray has not won more than a single match at any tournament since August.

When the time does come to retire then he said he will say something publicly.

"When the time is right I will probably say something before I play my last match and my last tournament," he said.

"Whether I say anything months ahead of the time, I don't know."

On how he might bow out, Murray added: "There's no right way of finishing your career and everyone is different so what might be the right way for [Roger] Federer might not be the right way for [Rafael] Nadal, might not be the right way for [Novak] Djokovic."
