Nick Kyrgios’ girlfriend gives brutally honest assessment of life on tour

Nick Kyrgios' girlfriend Costeen Hatzi has suggested life on tour with her tennis star boyfriend isn't all its cracked up to be.
Hatzi, the girlfriend of Australia's Nick Kyrgios, opened up on how things are travelling around the world with him.
The 24-year-old Sydney-based fashion influencer, who is often seen attending high-profile events and wearing designer outfits, revealed to 9Honey that the lifestyle isn’t always as exciting as it seems.
“I spend a lot of time alone on the tour,” Costeen admitted. “I wake up in the morning, we go get breakfast, then we go into the courts.
"Nick trains for about an hour and a half, we go back to the player's lounge, eat some food, then come back home and Nick gets physio.”
Though the couple manage to spend quality time together in the afternoons or over dinner, she explained that her daily routine largely revolves around Kyrgios’ demanding schedule.
“Nick’s used to it because he’s been doing it for about ten years now,” she said. “But for me, I definitely feel it.”
Costeen, who recently marked three years with the 29-year-old tennis pro, reflected on how her life has changed since their relationship began.
Before meeting Kyrgios, she was a university student juggling her degree in psychological science with a receptionist job at a car dealership.
“I always wanted to go into the influencer role, because I feel like it suits my personality. I love fashion. I love beauty. But I never really took it seriously,” she previously told Stellar.
Their romance began in 2021, after Kyrgios slid into her Instagram DMs about a mirror she was selling through her small business.
“He messaged my business page asking if the mirror was available. It was strictly professional,” she recalled.
“But then he messaged my personal page, and invited me out to dinner. The only thing I knew about him was a media outlet saying he’s a brat. In hindsight, I should have just been a bit less judgmental.”
Once they began dating, Costeen quickly discovered a different side of Kyrgios and they fell in love. Her social media following grew from 9,000 to 180,000, opening doors to new career opportunities but also exposing her to online criticism.
“Sometimes I think, you have no idea what he's going through, or you don't know how much work he's put in behind the scenes,” she said of the trolling she witnesses directed at Kyrgios.
Now managing a dress hire business, collaborating with major brands, and appearing alongside Kyrgios in Netflix’s Break Point, Costeen has established her own career.
She admits that the constant travel can be challenging, saying: “It’s really easy to get lost and caught up in your partner’s life, especially if they’re a global athlete.
“It’s important for me to have my own life and my own goals, too.”
