Emma Raducanu has become the first British woman to win a Grand Slam title in 44 years, claiming glory at the US Open.

Raducanu beat Canada's Leylah Fernandez 6-4 6-3 to claim glory and go the entire tournament without dropping a set.

The brilliant 18-year-old had three Championship points and it was third time lucky as she aced Fernandez to take make history and achieve one of the biggest triumphs in British sport.
