Video: former Arsenal and Spurs transfer target scores beautiful match winning free-kick

Brazilian midfielder Hernanes scored this stonking free-kick in stoppage time to put Serie A side Lazio through to the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup. The goal meant Lazio beat Serie B opponents Hellas Verona 3-2 and they are now likely to face AC Milan in the last eight. Hernanes was linked with a move to both north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham last year, but is now on Inter's radar as they seek a potential replacement for Wesley Sneijder, should he leave.

If Hernanes, Brazilian Footballer of the Year in 2008, keeps scoring wonder goals like this, it won't be long before a top team has snapped him up.
