Walcott swapped for Sturridge – stats suggest it’s not a crazy idea

When we read the talkSPORT transfer rumour page and saw that Chelsea were interested in using Daniel Sturridge as bait to snare Theo Walcott from Arsenal, we thought we'd compare the pair's Premier League attacking statistics.

Walcott has played a few more games and has been wasteful with his crosses, but it's clear he's more of a provider, which could be exactly what AVB and Fernando Torres require.

Sturridge, meanwhile, is a better goal scorer and everyone knows that Arsenal are overly reliant on the prolific Robin Van Persie.
